Warner Bros. Discovery UK has commissioned series 2 of 90 Day Fiancé UK ahead of the premiere of the UK edition of the franchise next week.

Dropping globally on discovery+ on 24 July, the inaugural series of 90 Day Fiancé UK “will bring a unique British spin to the hugely successful and top-performing global franchise.”

The UK spin-off, produced by Red Arrow’s CPL Productions will follow eight Brits whose pursuit to find “the one” has led to them finding long-distance love, with many physically meeting for the first time through the series. Followed for 90 days, the couples decide whether they are ready to spend the rest of their lives together as they navigate the reality of long-distance romance, which “often involves a collision of cultures, explosive family dramas and dating dilemmas.”

Casting for 90 Day Fiancé UK series 2 is underway now and will drop in the UK next summer with details on the international roll-out to follow.

Clare Laycock, SVP Planning & Insights, Head of Entertainment, Warner Bros. Discovery UK, said: “90 Day Fiancé is one of our best performing global franchises and is a favourite with UK audiences, so we are hugely excited to premiere our UK edition – 90 Day Fiancé UK –  on 24 July on discovery+. We are also delighted to greenlight season 2, partnering with CPL once again to find new couples willing to go to the ends of the earth for true love.”

Murray Boland, Creative Director of CPL Productions, said: “90 Day Fiancé is one of the best relationship shows on TV. The American series is absolutely brilliant and we are so excited to be making it in the UK.”

90 Day Fiancé UK was ordered for discovery+ by Clare Laycock, commissioned by Charlotte Reid and executive produced by Deirdre Dowling for Warner Bros. Discovery. Executive producers for CPL Productions are Murray Boland, Danielle Lux, Dermot Caulfield, Emma Jones.
