RedBird IMI, the investment group run by Jeff Zucker and Gerry Cardinale, is in advanced talks to buy All3Media, according to a report in The Financial Times.

The FT said the investment group is looking to buy the superindie in a deal worth around £1bn from its joint owners WB Discovery and Liberty Global.

Several suitors have circled All3Media in recent months including Banijay and ITV who pulled out of a possible acquisition back in July.

All3Media is the UK’s biggest production group housing over 50 production companies and labels including Company Pictures, Lime Pictures, Objective Media Group, Raw TV, Silverback and Studio Lambert.

All3Media International, has a catalogue containing over 30,000 hours of content including Midsomer Murders, Fleabag, All Creatures Great And Small, It’s A Sin, Trigger Point, The Tourist and The English and non-scripted content including The Traitors, Gogglebox, Undercover Boss, This Is Your Life, Lingo, The Dog House and Race Across The World.

RedBird IMI is also currently bidding to buy The Telegraph and The Spectator.
