Off the Fence Media (OTF) has appointed Rachel Carson as acquisitions executive, reporting to VP of acquisitions Loren Baxter.

Carson joins OTF with nearly a decade’s experience at eOne UK, where she served as sales director and helped grow globally recognised preschool brands including Peppa Pig, PJ Masks, Transformers, Power Rangers and My Little Pony. She most recently expanded her sales and acquisitions expertise at Kartoon Studios and Little Dot Studios, acquiring around 2,000 hours of content for the Little Dot Studios Network. This supported more than 135 YouTube channels and seven FAST channels across genres including science, history, engineering, crime and wildlife.

Carson said: “I’m passionate about building impactful relationships and championing innovation across an evolving media landscape. Acquiring thousands of hours for YouTube and FAST has given me a clear view of opportunities across both legacy and emerging models. With OTF’s strong catalogue and ambitious unscripted slate, this feels like the perfect next step.”

The appointment comes as OTF prepares for The London Screenings, with several new titles joining the slate. A new deal with South African producer Lion Mountain Media includes Mind of a Predator (7 x 60’), examining the premeditation behind predatory behaviour, and Secret Ways of Wild Dogs (1 x 60’), alongside an additional 34 hours from Lion Mountain TV’s natural history library.

Also newly added is Growing Up Cat (2 x 60’), a WildEarth TV natural history series following African big cats from cubhood to adulthood. Upcoming docuseries from Enderley Pictures is Staged: Deadly Deceptions (10 x 60’), already pre-sold to Hearst’s A+E and delivering this year, explores crimes that initially appear accidental or random — until investigators uncover carefully constructed cover stories.

Loren Baxter said: “Rachel came with high recommendations and I’m so pleased to have her join the Off the Fence family. Rachel comes to us with over 10-years’ experience in the TV distribution world and with her more recent position as acquisitions executive at Little Dot Studios, we’re confident she’ll bring huge value to us as a group as we navigate our place under the World Storytelling Media banner.’

OTF’s acquisition strategy under World Storytelling Media Group (WSMG) — launched last September to bring OTF and Insight TV under one banner — will continue to consolidate content investment and exploitation across the group.
