The Production Guild of Great Britain Deputy CEO, Michael Beavan, is to step down from his role and return to his consultancy, Production Publicity Limited, which he launched in 2001.

Beavan has spent three years in post as both the Deputy CEO and interim CEO of The PGGB prior to Kaye Elliott’s appointment in July 2025.

Joining PGGB as a consultant in 2021, during his tenure, Beavan has helped double the Guild’s industry partnerships and sponsorships, as well as delivering milestones such as two highly successful headline biennial awards and three iterations of The Duke of Edinburgh Film & TV Inclusion Awards.

Commenting, Beavan said, “I have been a passionate advocate for our work and our freelance members health and welfare at The Production Guild over many years and this decision has not come lightly.   Kaye Elliott and her team are already transforming the Guild for its members and partners, and I wish them continued success in all they do.    I am excited to be broadening my own reach and look forward to supporting our UK creative industries as I return to my consulting role, where I can continue to elevate and celebrate those companies and individuals who make the UK a leading global destination for film and HETV.”

Commenting on Beavan’s departure from PGGB, Kaye Elliott said: “On behalf of The Production Guild board, team and our members, I would like to thank Michael for his dedication and commitment to the Guild during his tenure, and the positive impact he has made.   His passion for the business and our membership has always shone brightly, and it’s been a pleasure to work with him over the last few months.  Michael leaves the Guild with our appreciation and best wishes for an exciting next chapter in his career”.
