The BBC has commissioned two further series of Balamory following the success of its return more than 20 years after it first aired.

The recommission for series three and four comes as the new series continues to build momentum with audiences. The first episode of the new series, One-Man Band, launched to 1.5m in 28 days. This makes it the biggest new CBeebies episode of 2026 so far.

Balamory is produced for the BBC by All3Media’s Lion Television Scotland.

Seeing it return and connect so strongly with audiences, both those discovering it for the first time and those who remember it so fondly, has been incredibly special. This recommission is a testament to the enduring power of children’s media make lasting memories and promote kindness, inclusion and togetherness.”
