Whisper has hired Stuart Cope as Director of Digital and Social as it grows its digital offering.
Cope previously led digital and social content for The Rajasthan Royals and ATP Tour, while also having prominent roles at Team GB and Surrey County Cricket Club. Working alongside Digital Strategy Director Chris Hurst and the existing Whisper digital team, Cope will help lead Whisper’s multi-platform content and continue to develop and increase its offering to broadcasters, governing bodies and brands.
Whisper currently delivers digital content for clients including the FA, ECB, Channel 4 F1, Cricket West Indies and Spark Sport in New Zealand, plus a “significant” new win, which is yet to be announced.
Sunil Patel, Whisper CEO commented: “Increasingly, the worlds of linear and digital no longer stand alone in sports broadcasting and we have strong ideas on how digital can increasingly be used as part of our strong partnerships with broadcasters, SVODS, governing bodies and brands.
“With all our productions, we aim to deliver an immersive experience for viewers and draw on the brilliance of sport to deliver emotional responses and connections. The way people view and consume sport and entertainment is constantly evolving, so it’s great to welcome Stuart to the team to help us continue to develop and maximise all of our existing and future business.”
