Smuggler’s Mark Molloy has directed this five-minute film for Adidas’ World Cup campaign featuring Timothée Chalamet putting together a team of modern footballing stars to take on a legendary street team.
Backyard Legends, created by US agency LOLA USA, assembles stars including Lamine Yamal, Jude Bellingham, Lionel Messi, Trinity Rodman and a de-aged David Beckham, Zinedine Zidane and Del Piero.
Additional appearances include Ousmane Dembélé, Raphinha, Pedri, Florian Wirtz and Santiago Giménez.
The grade was by Company 3’s Tom Poole with post and VFX at Untold Studios. Rich Orrick at Work cut the film and sound was at 750MPH.
