Paramount+ has released the official trailer for UK original psychological thriller Little Disasters starring Diane Kruger and Jo Joyner. The series will premiere as a box set on Paramount+ UK & Ireland on 22nd May.
An adaptation of the hit novel of the same name from bestselling author Sarah Vaughan (Anatomy of a Scandal), Little Disasters centres on the friendship between Jess (Diane Kruger), Liz (Jo Joyner), Mel (Emily Taaffe) and Charlotte (Shelley Conn), four expectant mothers who met ten years prior in an antenatal class, with little in common apart from their due dates. They have since formed lasting friendships and supported each other through motherhood, until now.
The world of seemingly perfect stay-at-home mother Jess begins to unravel when she brings her baby daughter Betsy to the hospital with a head injury she can’t explain. Her close friend and on-duty A&E doctor, Liz, must make the excruciating decision of whether to call social services.
Little Disasters is produced by Roughcut Television in association with Fremantle, who are also handling global sales. Ruth Fowler and Amanda Duke adapted the series for the screen with Roughcut Television executive producers Ash Atalla, Alex Smith and Marianna Abbotts on board alongside Sarah Vaughan. Simon Judd executive produces for Fremantle, Eva Sigurdardottir is the director, and Myf Hopkins serves as the producer. The series was commissioned by Sebastian Cardwell, Deputy Chief Content Officer, UK, and Paul Testar, Commissioning Editor for Paramount+.
