Tinopolis Group has appointed David Mortimer to the new role of Director of Content.
Mortimer previously held the role of Senior Vice President Factual & Entertainment at NBCUniversal.
Before joining NBCUniversal, he was Co-founder and Managing Director of independent production company, Fever Media alongside Richard Hopkins.
Mortimer will be responsible for the Tinopolis Group’s UK content direction and performance, and will work with Tinopolis’ production companies in both the UK and USA to develop a strong transatlantic production strategy. He is also be tasked with driving the group’s growth by identifying and recruiting new talent, with a particular emphasis on popular factual and factual entertainment.
Mortimer will report to Arwel Rees, CEO, Tinopolis Group and work alongside John Willis, Creative Director, Tinopolis Group.

Tinopolis credits include gameshow Robot Wars for BBC Two. Produced by Tinopolis owned indie Mentorn Scotland and SJP Media, the game show is set to return for series two this summer. Other shows within the group include A. Smith & Co.’s Hell’s Kitchen, Magical Elves’ Top Chef, Mentorn Media’s Traffic Cops and Question Time, as well as Firecracker Films’ My Big Fat Gypsy Weddings.
