Storied vfx house The Mill, is to relaunch following the acquisition of the entire brand by global language and AI giant, Transperfect.

The relaunch comes after the collapse of The Mill and MPC parent company Technicolor Creative Studiosearlier this year that saw massive redundancies in the UK vfx sector.

Transperfect has now acquired The Mill’s French division which has remained in operation and is reopening offices across London, Seoul and Bangalore with a reopened US division in the offing.

The Mill London will start with 15 employees under MD Liam Collinwood who spent nearly 11 years at the company previously. Returning faces include Ross Urien and Ben Blundell as creative directors and Matthew Campbell as head of design.

The French division continues under the leadership of Fabien Godenèche.
