VFX house Daydreamer is expanding its Production and CG departments with two new hires.
Emma Hughes joins as VFX Producer from ETC, where she spent over four years following an earlier role at Framestore. She has worked with brands including Tinder, Primark, and Airwaves, and has worked with directors including Sacred Egg (Riff Raff), Emma Debany (Mindseye), and Florence Poppy Deary (Biscuit).
Felix Marrington-Reeve joins Daydreamer as 3D Lead after two years at Glassworks and seven years at Framestore, where he served as TD Lead. His portfolio includes work on Marvel’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Disney’s The Little Mermaid (2023 live-action), as well as co-directing School Birds — a queer-focused, dance-based short recently featured at the GAZE International LGBTQIA Film Festival in Dublin.
Daydreamer Managing Director, Chris Allen says: “It’s amazing to have both Felix and Emma join us — they’re both incredible talents. Felix’s depth of work across long-form and commercial projects is staggeringly good. He’s a true boffin and his calm, assured approach makes him a perfect addition to our team.
“From my first chat with Emma, I knew she’d be a great fit for our production team. She brings a sharp insight and fresh perspective on the industry.
“I’m very excited to be working with them both and look forward to our Daydreamer futures together”.
