After seven years based on Great Marlborough Street, UNIT has opened the doors of its new bespoke designed studio on Berners Mews, Fitzrovia.


The 5 floor 8,100 sq. foot space took over a year and a half to build.

The colour department has been equipped with 2 Baselight suites with Dolby monitoring, as well as 2 Baselight Conform systems and 2 Davinci Resolve. Creative Director of Colour Denny Cooper leads the department with Nick Dalby in the second suite.

UNIT now has 10 dedicated VFX suites housing Flame, Flare, Flame assist, Nuke and Nuke studio. Creative Director Pete Rypstra heads up the Nuke and Flame team.

The 3D studio has 30 seats, of Maya and Houdini, Real flow, Mudbox, Golem, Massive, Yeti and bespoke Systems. Creative Director of 3D Nuno Pereira leads the line-up of artists.

Creative Director of Design Tom Wansbrough-Jones heads up UNIT’s own in-house creative studio, developed to concept, direct and execute work across its core design and animation capabilities, it boasts a team of 12 and growing.  Utilising After Effects, Photoshop, Premier & Cinema 4D.

The 7.1/5.1 sound design and Dolby premix facility has 3 state-of-the-art studios and a team of sound designers lead by Creative Director of Audio Chris Southwell, offering creative audio and sound design, 3 VO booths, 3 Protools Rigs and 2 Protools light assist stations.

We have the newest and most technically advanced set-up in London and with that we are poised for an exciting next chapter”.
