Picture Shop, Streamland Media’s picture division, has officially opened the doors of its new, 4,000 square-foot dailies facility on the Pinewood Studios lot outside of London.
The facility offers complete dailies services with four grading rooms equipped with Colorfront Express Dailies systems. The studio-approved lab securely processes and delivers protected media and content with high-speed connections for remote workflows. Streamland Media’s Pulse technology gives filmmakers a comprehensive cloud-based content management and collaboration system.
“We’re thrilled to bring the global reach of Picture Shop directly to filmmakers on the legendary Pinewood lot,” says Picture Shop president Cara Sheppard. “Under the leadership of Chris Barrios, having Picture Shop based at Pinewood gives filmmakers access to our A-list talent and technology with unparalleled service at a best-in-class facility.”
The new lab supports real time interaction with creatives from Pinewood Studio’s theatres, and on set and near set capabilities include Colorfront on Set Dailies, Picture Shop’s Dailies Manager as well as customisable solutions.
Barrios, who is Picture Shop’s managing director, Dailies, notes that productions for Apple TV+, Marvel, Disney, and Netflix are already underway. “The ability to work with up to 10 productions at one time allows us to service our clients who require flexibility and reliability at the highest levels. To open with high-profile projects on board speaks volumes about the service of our experienced and dedicated team at Pinewood.”
The Pinewood Studios facility is securely connected to Picture Shop’s global locations in Los Angeles and New York in the US; Toronto and Vancouver in Canada; and London, Manchester, Bristol and Wales in the UK; which gives filmmakers access to a worldwide talent pool, essential technical expertise and support from preproduction through post.
Picture Shop at Pinewood Studio’s recent dailies credits include the upcoming seasons of You (Netflix), Invasion (Apple TV+), Loki (Disney+), and the next season of Andor (Disney+), the latest Star Wars original series.
