Strawberry Blond, producer of Channel 4’s The Great British Dig and BBC One’s The Live Lounge Show, has made a series of hires and promotions.

The expansion comes on the back of the indie producing five new series last year alongside two returners.

Jess Hamilton has joined as Head of Production. She was previously at Brown Bob and will run all of Strawberry Blond’s series from both the London and newly opened Edinburgh offices, and will lead the expansion of their in-house post production facility.

Tom Benson-Geddes has been made Creative Director. Benson-Geddes previously was Head of Development and recently won a new 20-part daytime commission “Strangers on a Plane” from Channel 4 which airs this Spring. He is looking to bolster the development slate with new hires imminently.

Isabella Zoltowski joins Strawberry Blond as Commercial Consultant responsible for forging new relationships with international broadcasters and indie partners, as well as developing strategies across the business. Previously, Zoltowski has worked for a number of indies including Hungry Bear Media and Whizz Kid Entertainment. Before that she was Head of Television, London at William Morris Endeavor.

Strawberry Blond CEO, Steve Wynne said, “Against everything thrown at us last year, we managed to produce over 50 hours of television and still had fun doing it. We feel very lucky to be in a position to grow the company in 2023 but the usual no-dickheads rule will still apply”.

Strawberry Blond was formed in 2017 and is entirely independently owned with offices in London, Edinburgh and Bristol. BAFTA-nominated and Broadcast Award Winners, their current productions include “Huge Homes with Hugh Dennis” (Channel 4/More 4), “The Great British Dig” (Channel 4/More 4), “Clipheads” (CBBC), “Love Love Love” (CBBC), “The Live Lounge Show” (BBC One), and Strangers on a Plane (Channel 4)
