Documentary filmmaker and producer Sam Tullen has announced a new investigative series coming to YouTube this month.
The series is produced by his label Tullen Productions.
Digital-first mini documentary series, Disclosed, “pulls back the digital curtain to expose the hidden corners of online culture and the forces shaping our digital lives.”
Tullen’s latest documentary Generation Lonely, which released in January, explored the loneliness epidemic affecting Gen Z across the UK and the lasting impact that the COVID-19 pandemic has had on the generation. In 2025, Tullen also produced The AI Face Trade, a documentary that investigated people selling their faces and likeness to AI for as little as £1,500.
Speaking about the new series, Tullen said: “As a doc producer, I’m always digging around for stories. I investigate things constantly when developing ideas for new documentaries, so it just made sense to share those investigations with the world in real time, rather than waiting around for a documentary to potentially be commissioned.
“Disclosed is essentially an internet sleuthing series, and all of the investigations happen entirely online, which is what makes it interesting. I haven’t really seen anything quite like this online yet, so I really hope it cuts through with audiences.”
Sam’s indie Tullen Productions has fully financed the show in order to “bypass traditional gatekeepers and deliver content quickly, directly, and to a high standard.”
The first episode of Disclosed follows Tullen as he explores the dangers of AI-generated health and wellness videos. During the investigation, he infiltrates an AI content farm and uncovers disturbing practices surrounding the ethics of content farming.
Other episodes in the series will investigate topics such as illegal streaming, comment bots and ‘fame laundering’.
Disclosed is produced by Tullen Productions for YouTube. It will be available to watch on the Sam Tullen (@samtullen) and DOCO Documentaries (@docodocumentaries) YouTube channel this May. Episodes release bi-weekly.
