Princess Productions and Susquehanna Hats are to make a 14-part improvised stand-up show Set List for Sky Atlantic, which will feature both US and UK comedians.

The show will be recorded in front of a live audience, with three comedians challenged to come up with a new comedy routine on the spot based on topics presented to them while on stage. There will also be footage from both backstage and the green room.

The stand-ups will include Robin Williams, Ross Noble, Russell Kane, Tim Minchin, Drew Carey, Frank Skinner and Dara O’Briain.

Set List is a successful stage format devised by US comedian Troy Conrad. The topics for the TV show will be decided by Conrad and fellow comedian Paul Provenza of Susquehanna Hats.

“A key part of our commissioning strategy for Sky Atlantic has been to attract the best talent to the channel, blending US and UK talent to give our customers the best content from both sides of the Atlantic," says  Naomi Gibney, acting director of Sky Atlantic. "Set List really illustrates that ambition."

The show is commissioned by Philip Edgar-Jones, Sky’s head of Entertainment. Victoria Payne is executive producer for Princess Productions.
