Pulse Films has appointed BBH’s Chief Production Officer Davud Karbassioun as Global President of Commercials and Branded Entertainment.

Karbassioun will work alongside co-founders Thomas Benski and Marisa Clifford.

He will be based initially in London, before moving to Los Angeles in Summer 2017 to help drive Pulse growth in the US, as well as spearhead the collaborations from Pulse’s partnership with Vice Media.

Thomas Benski, Global CEO said: “It has been an exceptional year for Pulse, and having Dav join us is a real coup. Not only does he share the Pulse passion for nurturing talent, but also the drive to find fresh and ambitious ways of working with brands. I am looking forward to working with him, particularly on the US side of the business where he will be instrumental in helping us achieve our goals.”

Pulse Films credits this year include ‘Lemonade’ directed by Kahlil Joseph & Beyoncé. Meanwhile the Pulse Films feature American Honey, directed by Andrea Arnold, won the Jury Prize at the Cannes Film Festival.
