Pact is partnering with Northern Film + Media to launch the Producers Fast Track programme, an initiative to support up to five outstanding production companies or producers in the Tees Valley Combined Authority area (Darlington, Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, Stockton, Redcar and Cleveland).

As part of the Tees Valley Screen project, successful applicants will receive one year’s free Pact membership and bespoke Pact support and is open to producers working in branded content, advertising, film and social media, as well as those working in traditional broadcast media.

This project follows the announcement earlier this month that the BBC has appointed its first North East daytime commissioner, as the BBC looks to prioritise the North East in order to fulfil its desire to better represent the whole of the UK.

Dawn McCarthy-Simpson MBE, Managing Director of Business Development & Global Strategy at Pact, said: “Pact is delighted to be working with the Tees Valley Screen Programme and supporting this initiative to develop the North East’s screen sector. A Pact membership will give successful applicants access to the tools to help their business succeed, such as access to commissioners and industry experts, as well as a wealth of resources on the Pact Growth Accelerator.”
