Nine new Members have been appointed to the Council of producers alliance Pact.
The new appointments were announced by Pact at its AGM today, following its recent election process.
The newly elected Pact Council Members are:
Archie Baron – Baron is Creative Director at Wingspan Productions. Previously he ran Takeaway Media, having spent a decade at the BBC. Baron has been re-elected to Pact Council.
Danny Fenton – Fenton is CEO of Zig Zag Productions which he set up in 1999, having previously spent 5 years at the BBC. Fenton has been re-elected to Pact Council.
David Smith – Smith is Managing Director of Matchlight and has been elected as National Representative for Scotland. Smith was previously Head of Legal and Business Affairs at IWC Media.
Helen Tonge – Tonge is Managing Director and Executive Producer of Title Role Productions based in Manchester which she set up in 2005.
Laura Marshall – Marshall is Managing Director of Icon Films based in Bristol which she set up in 1990.
Marc Samuelson – Samuelson is Managing Director of Samuelson Productions and has been an independent TV and film producer since 1990. He was previously co-opted to Pact Council.
Rebecca O’Brien – O’Brien is Managing Director of Sixteen Films and has been an independent film producer for over 25 years. She was previously co-opted to Pact Council.
Richard Johnston – Johnston is CEO of Endemol Shine UK and has 20 years experience with the company.
Sarah Gregson – Gregson is Director of Legal and Business Affairs at Banijay UK and has been with the company for three years.
Pact’s new Chair – Sara Geater – and National Representatives for Northern Ireland and Wales – Kieran Doherty and Gillane Seabourne – were announced earlier this month as the positions were uncontested.
Pact Chief Executive, John McVay, said: “I am very pleased to see that yet again the members have elected such a group of strong individuals to help us navigate the next two years. At a time of change and uncertainty their skills and expertise will be regularly called upon”.
Pact Council oversees the work of the trade body, signing off budgets and financial plans, as well as agreeing the organisation’s policies, campaigns, terms of trade and collective agreements.
All posts are for a two year term, running from January 2017 to December 2018.
