UK indie Objective Media has named Channel 4 formats commissioning editor Jilly Pearce as Executive Vice-President of its US arm, Objective Media Group America

Taking up the role in the coming months, Pearce will relocate to the LA-based office and look to build on OMG America’s US presence, adapting and developing reality television, entertainment and scripted formats from the Objective Media Group UK labels, Second Star, Panda Television and Objective Fiction.

Pearce joined C4 in 2013, commissioning shows such as Virtually Famous, That’s So Last Century and How’d You Get So Rich?

Previously she was Head of TV for Pulse Films, Executive Producing Sleeping with the Family for MTV and The Inside Job for Channel 4.  Prior to this she was MTV Director of Development for four years, before moving to Maverick Television as executive producer where her credits included The Model Agency for Channel 4 and MTV’s Super Sweet 16 World Class.

OMG CEO Layla Smith said: “The whole team here at OMG can’t wait to start working with Jilly on our international expansion in 2017. Jilly is incredibly smart, determined and creative with commissioning and production experience. What else could we ask for in the person to lead our American business?”

All3Media America’s CEO Greg Lipstone added: “Jilly brings with her a wealth of international expertise and creative talent. She will undoubtedly hit the ground running and build upon the current success of OMG.”

Pearce said: “My time as a commissioner at Channel 4 has been an incredible experience, but I am really excited to make the move back into production and into the American market.”

Objective Media is part of the All3Media group of indies.
