Vfx house nineteentwenty has launched a new Film and Episodic VFX Department with 2 key hires.

James Etherington-Sparks joins as Head of VFX and Emma Ibbetson joins as Head of Production.

Etherington-Sparks has just delivered VFX on Slow Horses Season 2, as Overall Supervisor while at MPC. Other recent credits include VFX Supervisor on The Gentlemen, The Dig and The Two Popes whilst at Union VFX.

Ibbetson joins from Territory Studio where she was Senior VFX Producer, managing VES award-winner Mank for David Fincher/Netflix and The 355. She was previously Head of Production at One Of Us during Under the Skin, Anna Karenina, Mirror Mirror, Cloud Atlas, and Selfish Giant.

The new department is born as a response to the “growing requests” nineteentwenty have received from companies including Disney and the increase in demand for Film & Episodic content, building on its work on Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery and Killing Eve.
