Ikegami is launching two new 7-inch viewfinders and a refinement to the UHK-X700 and UHK-X750 3-CMOS ⅔-inch UHD cameras in the UNICAM XE series.

A Variable Neutral Density filter function planned as an option for the UHK-X700 and UHK-X750 series will be previewed at the NAB show in Las Vegas which runs from 18th April to the 22nd. When used as an alternative to the iris, the VND filter allows the lens F-stop to remain fixed to control video exposure.

The VFL-P710AD is an HD native 7-inch LCD viewfinder with digital and analog connectivity, designed for use with UNICAM XE or UNICAM HD series cameras, depending on the cable type and mode selected. It features Ikegami UniMenu integration with the camera. Test-related tools include a waveform monitor, vectorscope and audio level meter. The VFL-P710AD has a 3G/HD-SDI input and can be used as a field monitor. Tally indicators on the front of the viewfinder allow the camera status to be seen easily by a presenter. A rear-facing tally is also also included.

Based on the VFL-P710, the VFE-P711AD adds a 7-inch OLED panel with chroma reproduction, high brightness and high contrast ratio, ensuring clear visibility even in environments with high levels of ambient light. The fast response time of the OLED panel is useful when capturing content in high frame rate mode.
