Motion Impossible, the company behind the world’s first modular, remote-controlled robotic camera dolly system, has secured exclusive rights to sell Antares, a new and compact powerful stabilised remote head from FoMaSystems.

Available for purchase direct from Motion Impossible, Antares can be bought either as a standalone unit for UK customers, or bundled with AGITO as part of a complete, integrated cinematic broadcast solution, available globally.

Antares is built for productions where space is at a premium, but speed, precision and flexibility are everything such as news studios, concert venues, houses of worship, sports stadiums, etc.

At 25% smaller than the industry-standard 360 EVO it is vailable in two sizes (11-inch and 12-inch), it weighs 13kg (28.66lbs) and 13.8kg (30.4lbs) respectively, supporting payloads of 22.5kg (49.6lbs) and 23.5kg (51.8lbs). This makes it versatile enough for everything from broadcast and cinematic cameras to mirror rigs and immersive setups. It has an adjustable height range of 492mm (19.37in) to 621mm (24.45in) for the 11-inch and 529mm (20.82in) to 638mm (25.12in) for the 12-inch and its width is 435mm (17.13in).

Featuring three stabilised axes across both models, it offers unlimited pan via slip ring, a tilt range of +60° / -220° and 360° roll for continuous rotation. With a 180° per second movement speed across all axes, Antares keeps pace with rapid, high-pressure broadcast setups, allowing for instant, on-the-fly adjustments to changing live action. Plus, built-in lens control for Fujinon and Canon lenses lets users easily tweak zoom, focus and iris, and features real-time AR data (pan, tilt, roll, zoom, focus)

Controlled via LAN, it supports both local and cloud-based operation. And, whether you’re operating from the studio or from a distance, you can rely on its SDI and fibre passthrough for reliable, high-quality video transmission.

Together, AGITO and Antares form a complete, highly flexible camera movement solution designed to elevate broadcast production with cinematic quality. AGITO’s precision in commanding speed, direction, framing and height (via the AGITO Tower/Column) is complimented by Antares’s exceptional camera and lens control. Both systems are compact, intuitive to use and quick to set up, meaning just two operators can run the entire solution without the usual technical complexities or crew overhead typical of traditional rigs.
