The Post Arm has added, Maryanne Butler, ex Head of Design Framestore New York, to its team.

The Post Arm, primarily a grading and finishing house established by edit companies, The Quarry and Whitehousepost, Butler will bring high end Design to the offering and will work alongside Colourists Seamus O’Kane, Jim Bracher and the Flame team.

Butler began her career at VFX house Animal Logic where she worked with top Australian digital artists and commercials directors as a VFX compositor and supervisor.

On joining Framestore, she helped establish its New York office and worked  on commercial projects with Academy Award-winning directors Kathryn Bigelow and Barry Levinson, earning two VES nods for craft, before building and running the design team.

Butler was Creative Director for the VR film, The Nature of Industry, which won the Cannes Mobile Grand Prix, and worked on studio projects for Warner Bros and Jigsaw Productions, partnering closely with documentary film maker Alex Gibney on “Wikileaks: We Steal Secrets” and with the National Geographic on television series “Chain Of Command”. She has been named as one of Adweek’s “Creative 100” as a Top 20 Content Creator and was featured in Business Insider’s list of “The 30 Most Creative Women in Advertising.

Since moving back to London, Butler has been a frequent creative collaborator at The Post Arm, contributing design work for Harry Enfield and Daniel Kleinman’s BBC project “The Lovebox In Your Living Room” and various other commercial projects.
