Limecraft is releasing the second in a series of eight major platform updates planned for this year.
Building on Limecraft’s experience as an innovator in media production and delivery workflows, the 2025.2 release introduces advanced AI features, improved content delivery tools developed in close collaboration with DPG Media, enhanced review and approval workflows, personalised user settings and extended file format support.
At the centre of this release is Limecraft’s strategic partnership with DPG Media, one of Europe’s leading media organisations. In response to the growing complexity of content logistics, the two companies implemented Delivery Workspace – an end-to-end portal to streamline order fulfilment between producers, broadcasters and third parties. This latest update allows users to assign delivery and review tasks to individuals or roles, track task progress with ease, and support flexible data models. The result is a secure, structured and highly efficient solution tailored to the realities of modern broadcasting.
Complementing these workflow improvements is the introduction of Summarisation, an AI agent that behaves like a well trained production assistant. It automatically creates shot lists of raw material, including titles, synopsis, chapter descriptions and a list of topics. This capability significantly increases search efficiency and editorial throughput, allowing production teams to spot relevant material and build storylines faster. Summarisation is available as a private beta feature and is included in Limecraft’s premium transcription service at no additional cost.
Delivery Workspace users can now share content directly and download media files from the review app. Taking into account the multi-tenant nature of complex supply chains, users can now anonymise comments for secure collaboration. Annotations and approvals can be pushed to integrated systems such as Avid MediaCentral, allowing seamless communication between production and post.
To improve usability and user autonomy, the new release introduces user-specific settings including configurable hotkeys and player preferences. Combined with support for Canon Cinema RAW Light – ideal for teams working with cinema-quality material – these upgrades further position Limecraft as a platform of choice for high-end content creators.
