YouTube has confirmed the commission of sci-fi thriller Origin from The Crown producers Left Bank Pictures for its YouTube Red service.
The show, that will debut in 2018, tells the story of a group of strangers who find themselves stranded on a spacecraft bound for a distant planet.
The 10-part series will be made by Left Bank Pictures and Midnight Radio, in association with China International Television Corporation (CiTVC) and Sony Pictures Television, International Production.
Origin is created, written and executive produced by Mika Watkins. The series will also be executive produced by Andy Harries, Rob Bullock, and Suzanne Mackie from Left Bank Pictures along with Josh Appelbaum, André Nemec, Jeff Pinkner and Scott Rosenberg from Midnight Radio.
