Jigsaw24, a leading UK end-user solutions and service provider for Apple in the B2B space, has acquired Amsys, the UK’s largest Apple repair specialist.
The move cements Jigsaw24’s position as an industry leader in maintaining, supporting and managing the adoption of Apple devices in the UK enterprise market.
Both businesses have been operating as Apple specialists for over 30 years. Jigsaw24 has a growing service and solutions business, supporting Apple and multi-vendor workplace solutions at the enterprise level. The business has a market-leading share in post-production solutions in the media and entertainment space. Apple is Jigsaw24’s headline offering.
Amsys is the largest Apple-only service specialist in the UK. With a heritage in technical training, app development and Apple technical recruitment, the company provides break-fix and warranty program support to businesses of all sizes, and enterprise-level repair services to many of the UK’s best-known brands.
Amsys also hosts the Mac System Administrator and Developer Conference (MacAD.UK) an annual event that draws speakers from across the globe to present the latest Apple developments to Apple Administrators and developers working with Apple estates in enterprise and education.
“Amsys is an Apple authorised service provider with a successful and envied reputation as the UK’s Apple repair expert”, said David Dudman, Jigsaw24’s chief operating officer. “This acquisition and the addition of the Amsys team will significantly increase Jigsaw24’s repair capabilities and bolster our technical expertise, while providing Amsys with the financial security of a company with a turnover of £169 million.”
Under the purchase agreement, Amsys’ 40 staff members will continue working from the company’s workshop facilities in Kenley, Surrey under the Amsys brand. CEO, Alex Hawes, will also be supporting Jigsaw24 as a strategy consultant.
“I’m delighted that Amsys will be joining the Jigsaw24 group. I’ve known Jigsaw24 for as long as I have been building Amsys and I can’t think of a better home for our people and customers,” says Amsys CEO Alex Hawes. “Jigsaw24 is a fabulous company and I’m confident that together the companies will build high quality services at scale for all of our customers.”
The acquisition follows Jigsaw24’s recent launch of a new partner Apple maintenance service, designed for partners, including systems integrators and managed service providers that would like to offer an Apple support offering to their customers, but who don’t have the resources or capabilities to do so themselves.
Jigsaw24’s chief sales officer, Tim Bodill, added “There’s been enormous growth in the popularity of premium Apple devices in the UK. The additional services that the Amsys team will help us deliver means we can provide greater breadth in our offering to businesses looking for a comprehensive managed service. Delivering a truly personalised experience is what customers want for their end users, minimising service interruption and enhancing productivity.”
