ITN Productions has appointed Georgina Madley as Head of Development and promoted Grace Dean to Head of Short Form.

 

Georgina Madley joins from BBC Studios where she has been working as Head of Development Unscripted Productions since May last year. 

 

Prior to this she held Head of Development positions at Alaska TV and Blast! having previously worked for Blakeway North, as a Development Producer for five years. During this time she has helped to develop series and singles including Bargain Loving Brits in the Sun for Channel 5; Generation Gifted for BBC Two; My Online Nightmare for Channel 4; My Baggy Body for Channel 4 and EDL Girls: Don’t Call Me Racist for BBC Three.

ITN Productions Director of TV Production, Ian Rumsey, said: “I’m delighted Georgina is joining ITNP to lead our brilliant development team. She has a great track record in popular factual, topical programmes and developing interesting format ideas and will no doubt play a key role in creating exciting new opportunities for us, in the UK and overseas.”

 

Madley said: “ITN Productions has an unrivalled factual reputation so I’m looking forward to joining Ian and the team to develop an exciting slate that not only builds on their success but takes them into new territories too.”

 

Meanwhile Grace Dean has been promoted to Head of Shortform. She has been at ITN since January 2016, her most recent role being Senior Producer, Entrainment and Short Form. Before joining ITN she worked at the Olympic Broadcasting Services, BBC and Guardian.

 

Rumsey added: “Our short form slate is growing all the time and Grace is the ideal person to help build on the success we’ve already achieved.”
