Channel 5 has commissioned Tinopolis-backed Firecracker Films to explore the length of one of the largest and most impressive remnants of the Roman Empire, Hadrian’s Wall.

The 3 x 60’ series titled Walking Hadrian’s Wall With Robson Green will be fronted by actor and presenter Robson Green and was ordered for Channel 5 by commissioning editor Dan Louw.

Green will travel from Wallsend in the east to the isolated Cumbrian village of Bowness in the west, and meet “quirky characters, visits nearby landmarks and take in dramatic landscapes across a landscape rich in history.”

Elspeth O’Hare, Creative Director Firecracker Scotland said, “We are delighted to be working with Robson on this series. Although he has never walked the wall before, it cuts through his home town and the area where he grew up. He will bring such warmth and humour to this iconic journey.”

The series director is Sam Palmer, series producer is Jane Handa and executive producer is Elspeth O’Hare.
