ES Broadcast has opened a new equipment hire office in Reims, France.

The French office will be headed up by newly appointed branch manager Sandrine Carvalho, who joins from Gravity Media. She brings with her almost 20 years’ experience in commercial management roles in the French broadcast industry, having also worked for ACS France.

The local team is completed by rental manager Kévin Brugneaux, who has held technical and fleet management roles spanning almost 15 years in broadcast and AV, and Emma Cauchefert, who takes up the position of office administrator. European Sales Director Charles Alexis will also be closely involved in establishing the new office and driving growth in France and beyond.

The new facility will support ES Broadcast Hire’s continued growth in the region and provide a more localised service to existing clients including national broadcaster France Télévisions and leading OB companies such as NEP and EMG. The team will also operate in close collaboration with the company’s Madrid office to provide a support network for customers across Europe.

Announcing the opening of the Reims office, ES Broadcast Hire Managing Director Warren Taggart said: “Since we first set up our Spanish office six years ago, we’ve been able to steadily translate our success in the UK to the European rental market, to the point where we are trusted partners for some of the biggest names in French broadcasting.

“Establishing a dedicated facility in Reims and a local team of rental specialists is the natural next step both to continuing to provide a first-class service to our existing clients in the region and to growing further our presence in a key market.”

Situated in north-east France and less than two hours from Paris, Reims provides an ideal location for servicing not only clients in France but also the Benelux and German markets. The office will provide customers with dedicated local account management alongside rapid access to one of the largest and most up-to-date rental fleets in the world.

ES Broadcast Hire’s inventory includes large quantities of Sony, Grass Valley and Panasonic UHD camera channels alongside Canon and Fujinon lenses, EVS replay servers and Vinten tripods and pedestals – as well as monitors, test and measurement equipment and larger infrastructure solutions such as switchers and routers.
