Infrastructure as a Service specialist, ERA, has announced the appointment of Phillip Boettcher as Pre-Sales Manager.

Boettcher joins ERA with nearly 15 years’ experience in the media and entertainment sector, specialising in post-production and broadcast workflows, media storage and infrastructure. Most recently, he has worked closely with customers to transition from traditional on-premise environments to hybrid infrastructures, making use of data centre colocation and cloud technologies.

Boettcher spent 14 years at Jigsaw24, where he held a senior pre-sales role supporting production and post-production clients across the UK. During his time there, he led a team of pre-sales consultants across pro video, pro audio, post-production workflow and infrastructure, while also acting as a primary technical contact for sales teams on complex media systems.

In his new role at ERA, he will work closely with customers and internal teams to design and deliver solutions across remote workstations, storage, burst render and archiving, helping organisations scale efficiently while maintaining performance and control.

Phillip Boettcher commented, “I’m really excited to be joining ERA at a time when the media and entertainment industry is undergoing such rapid change. I’ve spent much of my career helping customers evolve their workflows and infrastructure, and ERA’s approach to flexible, on-demand services aligns perfectly with where the industry is heading. I’m looking forward to supporting customers as they adapt to new ways of working and increasing demands on compute, storage and rendering.”

Sean Baker, Managing Director at ERA, added, “Phillip’s appointment is a significant addition to the ERA team. His depth of experience, particularly his long-standing role at Jigsaw24, brings invaluable insight into real-world media workflows and customer challenges. As more organisations look to private cloud and hybrid infrastructure to support remote working, scalability and performance, Phillip will play a key role in ensuring we continue to deliver well-designed, practical solutions that truly meet our customers’ needs.”
