Ex Glassworks producer Duncan Cook has joined Unit Studios’ Longform team as a TV and film producer.

During his time at Glassworks, Cook produced spots for clients including NatWest, Weetabix, McLaren and Apple before moving on to work on longer content by producing the CG and VFX for Charlie Brooker’s Black Mirror Seasons 3 – 5.

Cook took responsibility for all VFX shots throughout Netflix’s first feature length interactive journey, Bandersnatch from shoot-attend through to final delivery.

Unit, now in its new Berners Mews building, brought in Dan Pagan as EP of TV & Film early this year to head up the longform team.

Duncan Cook said; ‘It’s such a delight to join forces with UNIT as Adam, Amanda and the wider team are meaningfully invested in further growing and developing the TV & Film division. Seeing the award winning work that has been created so far (including the recent UNIT BAFTA nomination for Sky Atlantic’s collaborating with Amazon Studios on the TV series Britannia) gives me so much confidence and excitement about what the future holds”.

UNIT Partner and EP Amanda Luckwell adds: “Duncan has such a proactive attitude as well as a creative vision, and his production experience on such highlights as Black Mirror means we look forward to numerous future collaborations.

With Duncan now in place we can also further develop our longform pipeline. We are so well placed to create the very best work and are excited about all the projects that are currently being worked on and look forward to their launch! It’s such an exciting time.

It is an exciting chapter for UNIT with our new home and a real focus on us bringing in the best talent across all departments. And with long-from a key focus Duncan was an obvious choice and will be a valuable addition – we look forward to his impact being felt.”
