CVP has launched an easy-to-use online tool that offers a visual representation of coverage of lenses when paired with various sensor formats, and different cameras using the same lens.
This tool gives filmmakers a first indication of the camera equipment that may – or may not – suit their project.
Jon Fry, Sales Director, CVP, said, “Every day customers ask us a variation on the question, “Will this lens work with that sensor?” We thought it would be useful to create a kind of visual database as an initial guide to show how a particular lens will work with a particular camera – or to compare coverage of different cameras using the same lens. Of course, we will always recommend shooting proper tests to look at the full range of camera and lens characteristics, but this online tool offers a very useful and simple starting point.”
