Technicolor London has announced that Colourist Sam Chynoweth has joined its features team.

Chynoweth has worked on a mixture of live action and animation titles and joins from Sydney-based studio Animal Logic, where he has worked on and off for nearly ten years, grading projects including The Lego Movie, The Infiltrator, Peter Rabbit and The Lego Batman Movie where his work helped to win a Lumiere Award for the Best Use of HDR in an Animated Feature. 

Chynoweth has also worked in London on projects including Wolf Hall, Testament of Youth and Walking with Dinosaurs 3D.

John Fleming, VP of Post Production & Digital Services, UK says: “Sam is an extremely accomplished Colourist who is well-versed in grading and delivering large-scale studio projects. His unique background will further enhance our industry-leading colour team. I’m delighted that he is back in London with the Technicolor team. "

Talking about his new role at Technicolor, Sam stated, “It’s an extremely exciting time to join Technicolor London with the new features team that John Fleming is building and the types of projects that they are working on is incredibly inspiring to me. I’m looking forward to being part of a team that will push me as an artist and to have the chance to work with some of the most creative people in the industry.”

Chynoweth joins a colour team at Technicolor London which includes Jean-Clement Soret, who recently won a BAFTA Craft Award for his work on Black Mirror, Jodie Davidson, Brian Krijgsman, Lee Twohey, Alex Gascoigne, Kevin Horsewood and Dan Coles.

Technicolor London’s recent feature film work includes, Paddington 2, Darkest Hour and You Were Never Really Here.
