Cinesite has hired former Peerless executive Drew Jones in the new role of Chief VFX Business Development Officer.
 
Reporting to Antony Hunt, Cinesite Group CEO, Jones will spearhead worldwide business development for Cinesite’s VFX studios in London and Montreal, including Cinesite’s partner companies Image Engine & TRXITER, as well as develop new business opportunities for the group across feature film, broadcast, SVOD platforms and digital entertainment.
 
For the last five years Jones has headed up VFX at Peerless; from initial project engagement through active creative production involvement and exec-producing films and series including; Robin Hood, The Kid Who Would be King, The Foreigner, Alien: Covenant, The Alienist and The Spanish Princess.  Prior to this he held senior management executive roles at Method, MPC & Framestore and was Chair and co-chair at the UK Chapter of the Visual Effects Society between 2013 and 2016.

As an executive producer, Jones has worked with some of the world’s biggest VFX studios across a diverse range of feature films and TV Shows. His 24-year career spans projects including The Bodyguard, Spectre, Harry Potter Features and The Constant Gardener.

Cinesite recently delivered 264 shots for Marvel Studios Avengers Endgame, its studios are currently in production on Paramount Pictures Rocketman and Sonic the Hedgehog, Lost In Space S2 and Raising Dion for Netflix and The Addams Family for MGM.
