Carnival Films has appointed Jessica Pope as Executive Producer.
Reporting to Gareth Neame, she will be responsible for developing her own programming while working alongside fellow Executive Producers, Nigel Marchant and Richard Fell on Carnival’s production slate.
Pope joins Carnival Films from BBC Studios, where she was an Executive Producer, having previously held roles at BBC Drama London and then BBC Drama Salford.
During her time, she developed and produced dramas including Good Cop, Hawking, When I’m 64, The State Within and The Musketeers and Silent Witness.
Prior to her role at the BBC, Pope was Deputy Commissioning Editor for Drama at Channel 4, where she worked across a range of productions including Lock Stock, Kid in the Corner and Anna Karenina.
Neame said: “It’s great to have Jessica joining the team. She is a gifted executive and talented producer with an extensive track record of bringing successful dramas to the screen. I am sure that she will play a key role in Carnival’s growth at such an exciting time for the company”.
