Inclusion programme Just Runners and crewing service Callbox Diary Service are partnering to support inclusive production practices.
The two organisations aim to simplify inclusivity on productions by employing new voices from around the UK.
Through this partnership, Just Runners and Callbox Diary Service will work closely to:
Simplify coordination between production support and diary management.
Create clearer pathways for emerging and diverse talent across the UK.
Provide national out reach, training courses and exams to instil professional understanding in new comers of industry expectations.
Support professional productions who wish to invest in future talent.
Claire Freeman at Callbox Diary Service said: “We feel that Just Runners’ approach lines up strongly with our attitude to professionalism, inclusivity, and supporting crews in meaningful ways. Together, we’re able to continue to offer productions a joined-up service that genuinely supports the industry’s need for inclusivity.”
Paul McLoone at Just Runners said: “By working with Callbox Diary Service, new talent are aligning with some of the best freelance crew in the industry, and they start their career surrounded by excellence. Just Runners instills professional standards in its selection processes.”
“The partnership reflects a shared commitment to make the pathway for media students and media employment generally, more accessible. People from around the UK, with no industry connections, and from varied backgrounds should feel that the film industry is a viable career choice for them. We want them to have a fair starting opportunity.
“Just Runners would also like to honour the memory of David Rudland and Production Switchboard whose enthusiasm and support was key in our initial success.”
