Glasgow-based post house, BSQUARED, has added offline editor Alex Broad to its creative team.

The move is part of BSQUARED’s strategy to add editing to its colour, finishing and delivery offer.

BSQUARED was co-founded by colourist and finishing team Colin Brown and Jon Bruce in 2024. After initially focussing on colour, finishing and delivery, the company added cutting rooms to its facility in Glasgow’s City Centre in January

“Scotland has long been home to a wide pool of talented editors, and Alex is right up there with the best.” says BSQUARED co-founder and colourist Jon Bruce. “We knew Alex well and when we heard he was looking for a fresh start we felt that we had to do what we could to bring him into the team. Alex is the perfect fit for BSQUARED. Our aim was always to put people and the creative process at the front of everything. Alex is not only amongst the top offline editors, he’s a wonderful person to have on board and will help shape the business as we grow.”

BSQUARED’s credits include Firecrest’s Murder Trial series, Maya for Two Brothers/Channel 4 and Counsels for Balloon Entertainment / BBC.

“Our aim was to provide top class service and facilities for our clients. However, we really believe that the team is what really matters” says Brown “We are creative people passionate about what we do. We want the best for our clients and love that collaborative process.”

Alex Broad said: “I knew about what Colin and Jon were building at BSQUARED and felt that I wanted to be a part of that. There’s a genuine emphasis on the creative side of post here. It’s exciting to be part of something that is growing. There’s so much amazing talent in Scotland and it feels like BSQUARED is trying to build something that reflects that.”

“He’s an absolute master of his craft” says Brown. “He’s really someone you want by your side. Productions trust him and want to work with him. He gives everyone a lift with positivity and that is exactly what you want to bring to your team.”
