Electric Theatre Collective has added Colourist Jonny Tully to its grading team.

Tully has already been working at ETC’s Brick Lane studio in recent months on a freelance basis on commercials and music videos.

Tully honed his craft at Smoke & Mirrors: “They had some incredible talent there, and I’ll always be grateful for the support and training”. Subsequent roles at Cheat and No.8 followed, with Tully working with directors including Taika Waititi, Meji Alabi and Thor Saevarsson for global brands like Pepsi, Guinness and Ferrari.

He has picked up a gold for best colour for music video at Kinsale, the short comedy he graded, An Irish Goodbye, took home both a BAFTA and an Oscar in 2023.

Jonny Tully said: “Colour grading is the perfect mix of art and science. It’s incredibly rewarding to collaborate with directors, cinematographers and creatives – and ETC’s collaborators are next level. I’m incredibly excited to bring my ideas to the table.”

Connor Coolbear, Head of Colour LDN, says: “We’ve had our eye on Jonny’s work for a while, so the timing is serendipitous. Having been with us a couple of months now, he’s already slotted right in – bringing fresh eyes, brilliant energy and a sensibility entirely of his own. We couldn’t be happier to have him here.”
