Surgeons: A Matter of Life or Death indie, Brinkworth Productions, is launching a new unscripted production base in Bristol from 5 October.
Brinkworth West aims to build on Brinkworth’s reputation for returning series and singles, with the ambition to “create a sustainable and creative base in the South West.”
Brinkworth West will aim to generate new IP and new projects and will work closely with the London office to build premium shows.
Senior staff across production and programme development begin their roles in October.
“I am really excited to be opening again in the South West”, said CEO Malcolm Brinkworth. “Having run a Bath based indie for almost a decade, I know how it is home for so many talented people. Our hope is that we can create a vibrant and exciting place for programme makers in the years to come.”
Brinkworth’s current slate of productions includes unscripted returning series like Critical Condition, Surgeons: A Matter of Life and Death; Suspect No 1 (Channel 5) as well as other limited series and singles like The Real Unforgotten – originally for ITV and currently in the top 3 shows on Netflix in the UK. Forthcoming series include the recently announced Life Support with more announcements to be made later this year.
