BBC Studios has appointed Beccy Green as the new Head of Production, Bristol & Cardiff for the Factual Entertainment and Events unit.

Green will be responsible for leading and developing the south-west production management teams across output for the genre, reporting to the unit’s Director of Production, Katie Brewer and working alongside the unit’s Bristol & Cardiff Creative Director – Juliet Rice.

Bringing with her twenty-five years’ experience in the UK television industry Green has worked across a range of genres, from large scale reality series, studio light entertainment shows and varied factual projects, from prime-time fixed rig to high volume, fast turnaround daytime content. She also brings knowledge of the international broadcast landscape following a role for Endemol Shine based in Australia.

Shejoins from Objective Media Group where she was Head of Production for non-scripted, having previously held the Deputy Head of Production role at TwoFour.

Recent productions Beccy has worked across include Lingo (CBS & ITV), Hospital (BBC), Operation Ouch (BBC), Alan Carr’s Picture Slam (BBC), Motorway Cops (C5 / Paramount +), Secrets of the Universe with Tim Peake (C5), Educating Manchester (C4), as well as Ninja Warrior (Nine), Old People’s Home for 4 Year Olds (ABC), One Born Every Minute (Channel Ten) and Big Brother (Seven Network) in Australia.

The BBC Studios Factual Entertainment Bristol and Cardiff unit produce a content including Antiques Roadshow, Countryfile, Chelsea Flower Show, Bargain Hunt, Unique Boutique (C4) and Gardeners World. The wider unit also produces Dragons’ Den, Amazing Hotels, The ONE Show, Morning Live, as well as the prestigious Royal Ceremonial Event coverage and much more.
