BBC2 has ordered two new factual series, Your Garden Made Perfect from Remarkable and 12 Puppies and Us from RDF.

Your Garden Made Perfect will pit designers against each other as they transform owners’ outdoor spaces; and 12 Puppies And Us: The Next Chapter, which will follow both new owners and revisit some of the dogs from previous series, 10 Puppies And Us.

Your Garden Made Perfect, produced by the team behind the BBC Two show Your Home Made Perfect, will use VR to show owners the true potential of their outdoor areas.

In each episode, competing designers will go head-to-head producing their vision of how a neglected space could be reimagined. The owners must then decide which design to turn into reality.

Kitty Walshe, Joint-Managing Director for Remarkable TV, says: “With the nation having been on lockdown, gardens have never played such an important role. They’ve allowed us to step outside and escape from being confined inside. Your Garden Made Perfect will transform how people use outdoor space, showcasing breath-taking designs that will allow us to all discover the hidden potential that lies just beyond our back door.”

Your Garden Made Perfect is a 6×60’ series was commissioned by Patrick Holland, Controller BBC Two and Catherine Catton, Head of Commissioning, Popular Factual and Factual Entertainment. The Commissioning Editor is Michael Jochnowitz and it is executive produced by Joff Wilson for Remarkable Television.

The new series of 12 Puppies And Us will follow 12 families across Britain who have just become puppy owners, as they navigate their first few months together. It will also re-visit some of the dogs who featured in previous RDF series, 10 Puppies And Us, that aired on BBC Two in 2018, to find out how the different breeds have developed over the last two years.

Dan Barraclough, Executive Producer, RDF, says: “The recent lockdown has seen a surge in interest from people wanting to take on a puppy and from a really diverse range of families and backgrounds. From tiny dogs like the Chinese Crested Powderpuff to Great Danes, people are looking into some very different breeds, so it will be intriguing to see how each family deals with the challenges of their particular pup. And they’ll be growing up in dramatically different environments – from city flats to open farmland. It will also be fascinating to be able follow up on the pups from previous series to see how they have developed over two years. There will be some recurring bad habits, but also some surprising transformations to marvel at.”

Abigail Priddle, Commissioning Editor, BBC Two, says: “I’m so excited to have a new cohort of puppies joining us on BBC Two. From large dogs to small, rescue pups to responsibly bred, this series will be a wonderful way of sharing in the joys, troubles, tips and training that come with a new four-legged friend.

12 Puppies And Us: The Next Chapter, a 6×60’ series, was commissioned by Patrick Holland, Controller, BBC Two and Jack Bootle, Head of Commissioning, Science and Natural History. The Commissioning Editor is Abigail Priddle and it is Executive Produced by Dan Barraclough at RDF. RDF is part of Banijay Group, and all worldwide rights to 12 Puppies And Us: The Next Chapter are owned by Banijay Rights.
