The BBC is putting the production of long-running quiz show, Mastermind, out to tender.

Mastermind was previously put out to tender in 2018 and has been produced by Hat Trick Productions and Hindsight Productions since then.

BBC news journalist and presenter Clive Myrie has fronted both Mastermind and Celebrity Mastermind since 2021. Myrie is the fifth host of the show which is now 54 years old.

The BBC announced in July that the celebrity version of the show would no longer be produced.

The BBC said: “We’re putting the production of our long-running quiz Mastermind out for competition. The full invitation to tender including eligibility criteria will be published on this website, with enough time for suppliers to do appropriate research and preparation.

The BBC will continue to broadcast the programme and will retain all rights.
