The BBC’s in-house creative agency, BBC Creative, has hired Natalie Lau as the new Head of Planning.
Lau joins from Uncommon Creative Studio, where she was also Head of Planning. During her time there, she led work for BT, Hiscox, Ocado and Depop. Before that, she spent time at McCann London, where she led the transformation of eBay UK and the global growth of Just Eat.
Her work has been recognised by major award shows such as D&AD, Cannes and Clios. At BBC Creative, she will work closely with incoming Executive Creative Director Richard Biggs – with whom she previously led the Hiscox account at Uncommon.
Justin Bairamian, Director of BBC Creative, said: “We couldn’t be more thrilled that Nat’s joining us. Not only is she a brilliant strategist in her own right, we get all the benefit of her proven partnership with Rich. We’ve been so impressed by the great work they’ve done at Uncommon, and we’re excited to see what they’ll do together here at BBC Creative.”
Nat Lau said: “Most brands dream of having the level of cultural impact the BBC has. It’s a platform that hasn’t just captured the nation’s most historic moments, but helped create them. It mirrors our society and values, and it shapes them too. To help write the next chapter of that story with BBC Creative is an incredible honour.”
