John Gore Studios has appointed Anouska Spiers as Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel, a newly expanded senior leadership role overseeing the studio’s operations alongside its business and legal affairs.
In addition, Spiers will continue to lead the strategic growth and commercial vision for Hammer Films, one of the studio’s flagship labels.
In her role, Spiers will work closely with the Studio’s senior leadership team to support the continued expansion of John Gore Studios’ integrated studio model, spanning IP and catalogue acquisition, film and TV development, production, restoration and global distribution.
Spiers is a qualified Solicitor in England and Wales, specialising in media and entertainment law and intellectual property. Previous roles have seen her work with entertainment brands including J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World, where she was part of the team behind the launch of Pottermore, and Matthew Vaughn’s Kingsman franchise. She has also worked with heritage brands and literary estates through her role at International Literary Properties and her ongoing collaboration with the Estate of Ray Bradbury.
She will join CEO Hilary Strong’s executive leadership team, which includes Francis Hopkinson, Creative Director and Jonathan Lack, Chief Acquisitions Officer.
