The Roughcut-produced new animated comedy short, Dave’s Games, is to get a BBC3 TX this month.

The 15-minute short, created by Jon-Lee Martin and Kyle Webster and written by Jon-Lee Martin and Stephen Morrison (Man Down, The Cleaner) centres on two rival video game shops.

There’s only room for one video games shop on the Greenhill high street and that’s just about the only thing that Dave, owner of Dave’s Games and Melvyn, owner of the brand new, futuristic rival shop, Turbo Gamez, can agree on. Sure, Turbo Gamez has a web café and will be releasing the first ever PlayStation, but Dave’s Games stocks some of the oldest video games you’ve ever seen (even for 1995). What will the future hold for the competing games shops of Greenhill?

Lead Animator and Director is Kyle Webster and the producer is Ben Worsfield (The Mind of Herbert Clunkerdunk, Quacks, The Trial of Joan Collins). Executive Producers are Ash Atalla (The Office, Stath Lets Flats, People Just Do Nothing) and Alex Smith (Trollied, Big Boys, Things You Should Have Done)

Commissioning Editors for BBC are Navi Lamba and Seb Barwell.

Cast includes Jamie Demetriou (Stath Lets Flats, Fleabag, A Whole Lifetime), Jessica Gunning (Baby Reindeer, The Outlaws, Back), Sarah Twomey (The Sandman, The Mind of Herbert Clunkerdunk, Men) , Marc Pickering (Boardwalk Empire, Sleepy Hollow, Borgia) and Emily Atack (The Inbetweeners, The Emily Atack Show, The Keith Lemon Sketch Show).
