The votes have been counted and the results for the thirteenth annual Televisual Bulldog Awards are now online.

Big winners this time include the BBC Natural History Unit’s Planet Earth II, which picked up the Best Cinematography, Best Music and Best Specialist Factual awards.

Televisual’s readers voted Fleabag as the best comedy and also the indie behind the show, Two Brothers Pictures, as the Best New Indie.

Netflix productions also made a showing with Left Bank’s The Crown gaining most votes in the Best Drama Series category and House of Tomorrow’s Black Mirror: Playtest winning the Best VFX vote.

Keo Films was voted Best Indie and its documentary Exodus: Our Journey into Europe won the Best Editing category.

Other winners include The Ink Factory’s The Night Manager in the Best Drama One Off or Serial category. Best Doc went to BBC Studios’ Louis Theroux: Drinking to Oblivion, Best Factual Entertainment went to Twofour’s The Real Marigold Hotel and Love Productions’ The Chronicles of Nadiya won Best Factual Feature.

The full list of winners can be seen here and in a special supplement in the May issue of Televisual. All the winners will be invited to pick up their awards at a dinner at The Cafe Royal in June. A ‘Best in Show’ prize will also be awarded at the winners’ dinner to the programme that garnered the most votes overall.

The Televisual Bulldog Awards are voted for by the readers of Televisual Magazine and pick out the best UK programmes and indies of the previous year.
