Zinc Media Group’s post-production arm, Bumblebee, has expanded its offering into kit hire from both its London and Glasgow offices.

The new offering expands on Bumblebee’s existing external post-production services, which recently became available from the new Glasgow facility, “enabling Bumblebee to provide clients with a bespoke end-to-end service.”

New hire Jamie Gettings, Camera Facilities Manager, will be heading up the offering. Based in London and working closely with Glasgow’s Head of Post, Simon Lyell, Gettings will be responsible for managing the flow of equipment and facilities between production teams’ UK-wide and advising on best practice. With over 10 years’ experience working in camera and equipment departments, he has worked both production side for shows such as Britain’s Got Talent, The Undateables, Gadget Man and The Apprentice, and held roles in-house at Procam and Vice Media where he was Equipment Supervisor.

Bumblebee, which launched its London office in 2022, opened its Glasgow location in 2025. It has provided post production on many of Zinc Media Group’s shows such as Tern TV’s The Inner Circle, Brook Lapping’s Putin  vs The West and Live Aid at 40: When Rock ‘n’ Roll Took on the World, Red Sauce’s Legends of Comedy with Lenny Henry and Top Guns: The Next Generation, produced by Rex for Nat Geo.

External customers include Russell Brand: In Plain Sight: Dispatches for Chanel 4 and Ibiza: Secrets of the Party Island with Zara McDermott.

Simon Lyell, Head of Post, Glasgow said: “We’ve been fortunate enough to be a part of some of the most exciting work coming out of Zinc Media Group over the past few years, and this, coupled with the brilliant relationships forged externally, has enabled us to bring a new offering to our clients across the UK. We are excited to continue to expand our nimble, collaborative and conscious approach to post-production nationwide.”

Olly Strous, Chief Technology Officer, Zinc Media Group, said: “After five years of offering kit hire internally, we’ve come to understand how powerful the combination of offering equipment, post-production and workflow expertise as a turnkey solution can be. It’s that simplicity that we are excited to bring to the market.”
