Zig-Zag Productions, the indie formed in 1999 by Danny Fenton, has been put into insolvency.
First reported in Deadline, the insolvency comes amid harsh market conditions, with broadcasters delaying and cancelling projects in recent months.
Zig Zag has produced over 1000 hours of non scripted programming, producing for broadcasters including the BBC, Channel 4, ITV, Five, TLC, MTV, Fox, National Geographic, Discovery, OWN, Logo and Syfy. Its shows have included I Wanna Marry Harry and Body Bizarre.
Not so long ago – in 2022 – its slate was growing and it hired Sarah McQueen as head of production and former BBC and Channel 5 executive David Arrowsmith as director of development.
Zig Zag Antoine Fuqua feature documentary about Nelson Mandela is not affected.
Zig Zag Holdings and Zig Zag Media Rights will continue trading.
