Zig Zag Productions has been commissioned by A+E Networks UK to produce a branded content ad spot for car manufacturer Kia Motors.

Shot in Australia, the two-minute advert and a cut-down 30-second version coincides with the launch of the new Kia Seltos sports utility vehicle. The advert’s narrative follows the work of a 3D artist who travels to Australia from the UK to paint a version of the car which suddenly comes to life. Jamie Wiggins directed the project.

Zig Zag Productions collaborated with the A+E Networks UK commissioning team and A+E Networks South Korea to produce the films, which will launch on A+E Networks International’s HISTORY channels across Latin America, Pan Europe (not UK and Ireland), South Africa and the Middle East.

Matt Graff, Managing Director of Zig Zag Productions, said: “We are delighted to be working with A+E Networks UK and Kia Motors for what is going to be an incredible launch. This is yet another example of Zig Zag looking at different ways to work with international broadcasters as we continue to branch out into the branded content and advertising space.”

Last year Zig Zag was commissioned to produce a 120-second branded content spot for Hyundai motors around their World Cup 2018 campaign. The film was part of the A+E Networks International TV event for History Of Football in May 2018.

Berry Liu, Director of Ad Sales at A+E Networks UK said: “A+E Networks UK is delighted to be working with KIA Motors again, following on from the success of 2018’s History Of Football campaign. Creating bespoke content and telling original stories are where we excel globally, with no better example than the campaign launch for the KIA Seltos.”
